The purpose of this site and the articles within is to challenge the individual reader to view his or her world in a new light, to ask a different question of the “truth” we are encouraged to believe by our governments, our social leaders, the media and institutions both corporate and private.  This site does not purport to offer that truth; rather, it seeks to create a framework of ideas which might help each of us in our own pursuit of that elusive prize.

Today, we live in a world dominated by instant gratification media, both for our entertainment and our understanding of the workings of our world.  The stream of this instant gratification is 24/7, 365 days a year.  Lost in all of this is the individual’s opportunity to digest, to process, to analyze this information.  The stream does not allow for that.  The stream demands that we become receptacles for sound bites and factoids in place of deeper understanding.  The analysis has already been done for us.  But by whom?  And what is their agenda?

In a strange and somewhat sinister way, we have been conditioned to ask specific questions of our world in order to yield specific answers.  In one sense, it is very much like the television game show, Jeopardy.  But a different question might yield the same answer and with it, a different and deeper understanding.  If we want that deeper understanding, we should not look to the established authorities to give it to us.  We need to demand it of ourselves.  Learning to ask the right questions is the first step.
